Sacred Heart Catholic Primary School in Hartlepool celebrated a hugely successful Sports Week, packed with energy, excitement and a wide range of new experiences for pupils.

A Week Full of Activity and Inspiration

Throughout the week, children took part in an impressive variety of activities designed to keep them active and engaged. Highlights included freestyle football with Ash Randallbreakdancing with Jack Stephenson, as well as sessions in gymnastics and athletics.

Pupils also enjoyed the school’s annual sports day at Grayfields, giving everyone the chance to showcase their skills and team spirit in a supportive environment.

Building Resilience and Trying New Sports

On Thursday, the school welcomed Ben Holden, who delivered inspiring resilience workshops for pupils from Reception to Year 6. These sessions encouraged children to stay positive, persevere and believe in themselves.

The week also introduced pupils to sports from around the world, including the Haka, American Football and Kabaddi, broadening their experiences and understanding of global sporting traditions.

Ending the Week on a High

Sports Week concluded with exciting cycling workshops and Durham Cricket sessions, ensuring a strong and memorable finish.

A Community Effort

A huge thank you goes to Mrs Evans and Miss Welsh for organising such a fantastic week, as well as to all staff and parents/carers who supported throughout.

It truly was a brilliant week of sport, teamwork and fun, creating lasting memories for all pupils.
